"Daisy's in Fall"

As I look out my living room window, the leaves are making their majestic wordless announcement that autumn has come. Crayola may have identified these colors, but they'll never be able to recreate the splendor. Prolific writers, poets, painters and musicians have used their talents to try and display autumn's cornucopia of beauty, yet they fall short of what I get by walking along wooded paths or sitting beside the canal amidst the infantry of trees. Experience always triumphs with the sights, smells and tastes of fall.

Personal experience also triumphs in the realm of the spirit. Jesus never intended for us to be outside observers of His salvation, "readers only" of His grace or mere onlookers of His mercy. His Word is not meant to remain a collection of black and red letters on white pages. John wrote in 1 John 1:1"That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life..." And because of his rich experience with Christ, we are all richer for it. I just listened to a tremendous teaching from Britt Merrick, who is walking through a devastating experience with a heart passionately in love with God and His Word. I'd like to share it with anyone who has some time to listen...you will be richer for it as well.
